Tropical Hawaiian Art Prints

Joe LaRocco, Hawaiian Watercolor Artist

Joe LaRocco was a Hawaiian watercolor artist who came to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1979 and was captivated by the beautiful Hawaiian beaches, flowers, sunsets and sunrises.

He spent many hours in the Kona and Puna districts painting his favorite scenes: vintage Hawaiian cane shacks and churches, tropical flowers, old plantation towns and the scenic City of Refuge in Kona.

His colorful style lends itself perfectly to the classic Hawaiian motifs: plumerias, hibiscus, and crotons come to life in his vivid watercolors.

The lovely renditions of the Helani church, old Ke’eau town and the classic Kalapana and Pohoiki houses serve as an archive of times gone by in Hawaii.
